Fortnite: Battle Royale streamer and video game personality Tyler “Ninja” Blevins said on March 4 that he’ll play on a brand-new Fortnite map at a Samsung event on March 16 with K-pop group iKON.
The news got fans excited about a new map coming to Fortnite, but Samsung revealed later that day that it will be a Fortnite Creative island made by featured creator Bludrive. The event will not feature a new Battle Royale map.
Ninja used his own livestream to reveal that this Creative island was designed especially for this event. He and iKON will be in New York City to play on this map as part of a Samsung and Epic Games partnership that will celebrate the release of Samsung’s new line of Galaxy S10 smartphones.

Ninja has revealed that players will have a chance to take part in the event and play on this exclusive map, but almost no information is available at this time. There are a few questions that have been arising since this Samsung and Fortnite event was revealed, along with the confirmation of a new map. Here’s everything we know about all of this so far.
Players will be able to join Ninja and iKON
Samsung’s Fortnite x Galaxy event page says players will be able to sign up to get more information about how to join Ninja and iKON “for a one-of-a-kind Fortnite x Galaxy gaming experience in New York at Samsung 837.”
From the short description, we can guess that only players who are able to physically attend this event will be able to play with Ninja and iKON on this exclusive Fortnite Creative island. If it was something available to all players online, there would be no need for a signup page. Nothing has been confirmed yet, though.
Once fans sign up, no email is sent directly providing more information about the event. That probably means more information is coming in the next few days.
No map, just a Creative island
Epic has yet to reveal if this new Fortnite Creative island will be available only during the Fortnite x Galaxy event, if the event will be just an early release that will later be available to all players, or if it will be available worldwide by the time the event starts on March 16.
Since it’s a Creative island, it’s likely going to be available as soon as the event starts through island codes that Epic or Samsung can share.
There are no screengrabs or other information about the map or the event just yet.
Update March 5 at 7:30am CT: Samsung clarified there is no new Fortnite map coming in the event. The article has been updated to reflect this.
