In the seventh season of Fortnite: Battle Royale, snow covers a large section of the map—and it appears that there are hidden structures lying beneath the snow.

German YouTuber StanPlay found a castle and village underneath all of the snow at Polar Peak, one of the several new locations in Fortnite season seven. Stan made this discovery using an apparent bug with the Port-A-Fort, which uncovered the hidden structures.

Polar Peak appeared southwest of Shifty Shafts, and it has a large mountain of snow covering up structures. And the popular theory at the moment is that the snow will gradually melt away, allowing the buildings underneath to become more accessible.

Some fans thought that the snow mountain would be the point of interest that Epic planned to show off at The Game Awards earlier in the week. But Risky Reels was actually the area that was affected—Epic replaced it with The Block, an area that will feature fan-made creations.

It’s unknown exactly how long it will take for all of the snow to melt on Polar Peak, but when it does, it’ll almost certainly be one of the most popular areas of the map.
