The Infinity Blade has returned to Fortnite: Battle Royale for the first time in season eight as an LTM.

That’s right, folks—the Sword Fight LTM is back for the first time this season after its last appearance in February. Players now have the opportunity to once again get their hands on one of the game’s most powerful items.

In the LTM, the Infinity Blade has a chance to appear as a rare item in chests, providing nearly an infinite amount of swords in each game. Since it’s a Squads game mode, it’s best to have one of your teammates with a sword while the rest offer backup from afar using rare and legendary weapons.

The Infinity Blade has a troubled history since it was added to Fortnite in December 2018. It was quickly deemed too powerful and immediately removed from the game a few days after it was introduced.

The sword has the ability to destroy structures in an instant and slowly heal a player’s shield and health over time. It also doubles a player’s base health and shield, but at the cost of any items, weapons, or building materials you had before grabbing it.

Since this is an LTM, the mode won’t be around for much longer—so be sure to try out the Sword Fight LTM with some friends before it leaves the queue.
