Playground LTM coming soon to Fortnite: Battle Royale

It's kind of like Minecraft, but better than Minecraft.

A new limited time mode is en route to Fortnite: Battle Royale, and it mainly focuses on practice and having fun.

Playground will be the next LTM to arrive to Fortnite, allowing players’ creativity to “run wild” on a private island without the worry of bloodthirsty enemies. Not many details are available about Playground LTM at this time, but it’s assumed that players can run their own server and practice important skills like aiming and building. This LTM will also give a ton of room for content creators to make their own short films related to Fortnite.

Epic Games is teasing Playground LTM on the “New Updates” preview screen when players first load up Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Playground LTM is unique in its own way because it’s the first mode that will let players run free on their own server. It’s unknown whether the LTM will be on the pre-game spawn island or on the main Battle Royale island, but either way, players will be able to have fun by themselves and let their imagination go nuts—kind of like Minecraft.

It’ll also be a good change in scenery, since Playground will be another LTM that won’t focus on combat, like many of its predecessors: 50v50, Blitz, and Final Fight: Teams of 20. Hopefully Epic Games will consider making Playground a staple in the game so both new and old players can hone their skills on their own time.
