Fortnite often has challenging tasks, like the “hitting an enemy within 10 seconds after exiting a hiding spot” quest where you need to track down a hiding spot and pull off a surprise attack on your enemies.
As a battle royale, Fortnite is all about being the last person standing, and there’s no shame in using hiding spots such as dumpsters to pull off a sneak attack on an unsuspecting opponent. In the recent Marvel-themed story quests, you’re tasked with dealing damage to enemies after exiting a hiding spot, which can be very tricky to complete.
Here’s everything you need to know about hitting an enemy within 10 seconds of exiting a hiding spot in Fortnite.
Where to hit an enemy after exiting a hiding spot in Fortnite Chapter 5, season 4
The hiding spots such as dumpsters in Fortnite are spread all over the map. You can easily find them in popular points of interest like Doomstadt, Doom’s Courtyard, Reckless Railways, and many more. Once you find your dumpster, simply press the action button to jump into it and stay hidden for as long as you want. You can exit the dumpster by pressing the same button.
But the tricky part of this challenge lies in finding an enemy to hit within 10 seconds of exiting the hiding spot. To do that, simply head over to POIs such as Doomstadt and Doom’s Courtyard, which has an abundance of Doom’s Hechmen who also count as enemies. Now, you can simply jump into the hiding place and exit it to hunt these people and shoot them once with your weapon to damage them and complete the challenge. These henchmen are usually non-hostile until you hit them and they follow a set patrol route, making them ideal targets for your sneaky trap.
Make sure to use your sprint button to move quickly to the enemies and deal damage. Otherwise, you’ll have to go back to the hiding spot and try the process again. But if you’re looking for real enemies to complete the challenge, we recommend you land at Reckless Railways, which is a popular drop spot and has many hiding spots.
After you’ve completed the challenge, you can earn 20,000 XP, which can be used to level up your battle pass and earn new rewards. Next up, you can also read our guides on how to become Doom’s Chosen and get Gwenpool’s Mythic Dual Micro SMGs in Fortnite.
