Fortnite player apparently finds invincibility bug related to bandages

The invincibility seems to have been caused by two other bugs, though.

A Fortnite player thinks they have found a bug that gives invincibility frames to players using bandages.

The person shared a video of their play on Reddit where the game clearly indicates they landed all shotgun pellets on the opposing player who was using a bandage, but the game shows no damage markers and the player healing themselves takes no damage. Damage markers appear again when they hit their opponent after they’ve stopped using the item.

Epic Games’ community coordinator Sean “MrPopoTFS” Hamilton wrote that this situation wasn’t caused by invincibility frames, but most likely by two other issues: bugs with client-side hit markers and incomplete equip animation for weapons when a player gets off a vehicle. “It helps us clearly see what the issue is and what may be causing it,” MrPopo said about the video without detailing further how both combine to cause the invincibility effect.

There’s a fix coming for these two bugs in the v8.50 update, MrPopo confirmed on the thread. But there might be more to it than just that since he also said more people at Epic will take a look at this video.

These are just two of the several bugs Epic is willing to fix for the next update. Other minor issues that can still affect gameplay might also be solved, like ghost sounds of weapons reloading and players gliding when there’s no one around. Epic should reveal today when the v8.50 update is coming, and players will find a full list of fixes in that update’s patch notes.
