A large portion of the Fortnite: Battle Royale player base was unable to participate in the Unvaulting event yesterday due to a bug that stopped the vault from opening once the timer reached zero.

To compensate players for these issues, Epic Games has announced plans to give everyone who jumped into the playlist yesterday a free glider.

Players who already purchased the glider will have their V-Bucks refunded for the cost of the item. Both forms of compensation will be given out to players over the next few days as Epic’s way of apologizing for the Unvaulting mishap.

Epic also plans to release replay files for those who couldn’t witness the event live. Anyone would be able to go back and watch everything that other players experienced during the Unvaulting, but obviously those affected by the bug are still very unhappy.

A replay takes away from the whole experience of actually being in the event live, however. Fans have been calling for Epic to bring back the Unvaulting playlist for a limited time, so those who couldn’t join in on the fun at least have the option to watch Tilted Towers and other areas being destroyed by the volcano eruption.
