CLG reveals its Fortnite team with an incredible announcement video

"You know what? It's fine. It's just very disrespectful."

With many of its League of Legends rivals jumping into Fortnite, it was just a matter of time before CLG signed a team of its own.

The organization’s new Fortnite roster includes Kevin “KP5ive” Stevenson, Chris “Chrispy” Philavanh, Sam “WishYouLuckk” Salcedo, and Nick “Marksman” Overton.

CLG’s team announcement was unlike many others thanks to help from Rocket Jump, a production company which makes “fun, genuine entertainment,” according to its website. The video CLG and Rocket Jump produced was one that depicted the new lineup as soldiers ready to go to battle together.

Although the players had their disagreements with which weapons they should bring along and whether bandages are even necessary, the players geared up and headed out to what they thought would be a helicopter—they were greeted with a CLG battle bus, however.

In the two hours since the announcement, the video has been viewed nearly 35,000 times on Twitter, showing a unique twist to generally bland introductions can be beneficial.

In the North American region, the team will compete against many of the same organizations CLG’s NA LCS team competes against, including Cloud9, TSM, and Team Liquid. While they may be a little further behind the competition due to a later start, CLG and its fans will likely still expect the team to bring home a title.

Some of the players will have a chance to show off their skills in the remaining few weeks of the Summer Skirmish series.
