A bug is causing the free Fortnite Arcana glider from the Unvaulting event to remove player’s items and give abnormal amounts of V-Bucks. As such, Epic is rolling back on the giveaway of this item as it fixes the problem.

In an ironic twist of events, the Arcana glider itself was meant to be compensation for players who were unable to participate in the Unvaulting event last weekend, despite being present in the game at the right time. Players who were affected by this were to receive the unique glider as recompense this week.

In addition, players who purchased the glider while it was briefly available in the store received the appropriate V-Bucks instead. Now that players are starting to receive the glider or currency, though, a whole new problem is popping up.

Players who were meant to receive the glider are finding themselves in the unlucky situation of losing items from their locker. This isn’t supposed to happen, as they are only supposed to receive an item and not lose one.

At the same time, some potentially lucky players are receiving an abnormally large amount of V-Bucks. To fix this problem, Epic is undoing the Arcana glider giveaway right now and will update when this has been completed.

The Unvaulting event itself was an in-game live event to tease the start of season nine this week. The volcano erupted, destroying Tilted Towers in the process, and opening up the vault at Loot Lake. This allowed some players online at the time to go inside and vote on which removed item to bring back into the game. That item was the Drum Gun.
