The annual marathon event brings speedrunners from across the world to a single event. Viewers can make donations for a chance to win prizes and influence the runs, all the while raising money for Doctors Without Borders.

Nier: Automata, one of the newest games to be at the event, kicks off day one followed by the ever popular Halo: Combat Evolved.

Highlights for the week at SGDQ include a small Sonic block kicking off on July 3 with Sonic CD and ending with Sonic Colours. The classic Super Metroid races, which will include the popular “Save or Kill the animals” incentive, will take place July 7.

The last game of the marathon will be Japanese role-playing game Earthbound on July 9.

January’s Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2017 set the record for donations of any GDQ event hitting just over $2 million dollars.
