Blizzard’s Battle.net mobile app lets you chat with your Blizzard friends from your phone

Blizzard has released a new mobile app that lets players check in on their Battle.net friends from their phones.

The Blizzard Battle.net mobile app, which is available on Android and iOS devices, allows users to access the desktop application’s social features, like chatting. Mobile chatting between phone and desktop users is the biggest feature, but the app also lets users add and accept friend requests, too.

If you’re the kind of person who wants to keep tabs on your friends’ gaming habits, you can do that as well.

It’s similar to the desktop application, but, of course, you can’t access Blizzard games—just social features. Blizzard has a few separate mobile applications that use the Battle.net chatting feature, like the World of Warcraft Armory app, but the Blizzard Battle.net app opens the chatting feature up for all Battle.net titles.

The app is available for free on the Google Play store and from the iOS App Store, with more regional access coming in the next few days.
