Following impressive wins in their first matches of the day, Luminosity and Splyce used that momentum in the second round of the winners bracket. Here are the results from the winners bracket semifinals at CWL Fort Worth 2019.

Luminosity vs. Enigma6

Luminosity’s first match on Saturday was a hard-fought victory over Gen.G. But that wasn’t the case against Enigma6—Luminosity absolutely dominated this matchup.

It all started with a remarkable 43-kill performance by Peirce “Gunless” Hillman on Frequency Hardpoint, which led Luminosity to a 250-149 win. And they didn’t take their foot off the pedal in map two, winning Payload Search and Destroy 6-1.

With all momentum on their side, Luminosity convincingly took Frequency Control 3-1 to secure the series sweep of E6.

Splyce vs. Red Reserve

After watching Luminosity’s sweep of E6, Splyce decided to follow suit with a 3-0 victory of their own against Red Reserve. Splyce kicked off the series with a 250-218 win on Arsenal Hardpoint.

Frequency Search and Destroy also went in their favor 6-2—and Jordan “Jurd” Crowley picked up a ninja defuse to end the map. After giving up the first round on Gridlock Control, Splyce took three in a row to secure the 3-1 map victory and series sweep.

Luminosity and Splyce will square off tomorrow in the winners bracket finals, while Enigma6 and Red Reserve will try to battle through the losers bracket. Championship Sunday’s action begins at 10am CT.
