After a rough first week in the 2019 CWL Pro League, the defending world champions’ troubles continued into the second week of Division B play.
Team Envy, who lost two of their three matches last week, dropped another series on Monday. 100 Thieves were the team to do it this time as 100T defeated Envy in four maps to improve their own record to 2-2.
The teams had a very close first map, but 100 Thieves were able to squeak out the Gridlock Hardpoint victory by 14 points to take the early series lead. The following Search and Destroy on Arsenal wasn’t as close, but a 100 Thieves victory was the same result.
With their backs against the wall, Envy fought back and picked up a map win by sweeping the rounds on Seaside Control. Their momentum was stopped there, however, after 100 Thieves picked up another Hardpoint win to take the series.

This loss puts Envy at 1-3 in the league’s regular season, and they now sit in sixth place. They’ll have three more matches throughout the week to improve their position—but with series against eUnited and Heretics on the schedule, it won’t be an easy task.
The other match that took place on Monday, Excelerate vs. Splyce, ended in a 3-1 result in favor of Splyce, who improved to 4-0 with the win.
Here are the standings in Division B of the CWL Pro League (each team’s series record is followed by their map count in parentheses).

1) Splyce: 4-0 (12-4)
2) Team Heretics: 4-0 (12-5)
