He wasn't playable right away, though.

The latest champion added to League of Legends is now available in the popular game.

Sylas can be purchased in the game’s Store—but that wasn’t the case just a few hours ago. Sylas was set to be released in Patch 9.2, which is already live in League. But earlier this morning, Sylas couldn’t be purchased or played.

League fans were growing restless waiting for the game’s newest champion. If you tried to unlock Sylas through the Collection tab, you were greeted by a message that said “this content is no longer available for purchase.” And if you went to the Store and searched for Sylas, it’d say “no items matched your search criteria.”

But now, none of that matters because Sylas is ready to hit the Rift. Players can purchase the game’s newest champion for 975 RP or 7,800 blue essence.
