G2 Esports seem to be hinting at a return to PUBG

Is it time to drop all over again?

Over the past 24 hours, G2 Esports has been posting cryptic tweets that seem to allude to the organization’s return to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

The tweets, posted every few hours, reduces the size PUBG’s first map over time by the use of a blue circle as it seems to zoom in on an ever-growing G2 logo.

All of this seems to point to G2’s return to the PUBG scene. The organization originally had a squad last year that was disbanded in December. That team included some players that have failed to find other organizations since. Jack “WACKO” Middleton is the only former G2 Esports member to find a roster since it was disbanded and now plays on the Team Full Focus lineup.

G2 never really found success with its PUBG roster, but with PUBG Corp investing more into the esports scene and the emergence of regional leagues, it could be just what G2 needed to pull itself back into the spotlight.

Of course, this could all be a ruse from G2 that leads to another announcement—but here’s hoping that G2 step back into the ring to contest a chicken dinner victory in the future.
