Whelp Daycare questline in WoW Dragonflight: Release date and how to start and complete it

Here's everything we know about raising baby dragons.

Dragonflight is constantly changing, and with World of Warcraft’s developers adding more and more updates and content, this shouldn’t change anytime soon. Whelp Daycare is one of the new gameplay elements, which should make its way to the game quite soon.

Whelp Daycare was announced on May 11 by Blizzard Entertainment developers alongside new specialization for Dracthyr Evokers, Dawn of the Infinite dungeon, a fresh world event, and Dragonriding event, to name a few.

All this will be released with an update called Fractures of Time. With so much content being shipped to World of Warcraft Dragonflight, it’s no surprise many players are awaiting it.

When does Whelp Daycare questline and Fractures of Time update release in WoW Dragonflight?

The first update after the release of Patch 10.1 will officially release on July 11, right after the weekly maintenance. While the North American region will start exploring Patch 10.1.5 on July 11, EMEA players will see this patch go live on July 12.

Remember, weekly maintenance will be extended by a couple of hours and you’ll have to be a bit more patient before you can start taking care of the whelps.

How to start and complete the Whelp Daycare questline in WoW Dragonflight?

Upon your arrival to the Dragon Isles, Herald Flaps will deliver a note to you and you’ll need to accept the Eggs in Abundance quest that will take your to Amella at the Ruby Lifeshrine. There, you’ll learn the ins and outs of the Whelptender craft.

After completing the introductory part of the quest, head to the Little Scales Daycare in Valdrakken and get ready for your first task. You’ll have daily and regular quests to complete for Whelp Daycare. While rewards for daily quests are mainly Flightstones and gold, regular questlines will award you two pets.
