What is the Apex Legends season 21 map rotation?

Here's the new order of operations.

Apex Legends’ season 21, Upheveal, featured the return of Broken Moon, now shattered with the arrival of Alter to the Apex games, alongside spawn location changes to World’s Edge and Storm Point in the standard map rotation.

Apex has featured five playable battle royale maps in its five-year lifespan, with Broken Moon as the newest addition in November 2022. However, while every map is accessible in the custom game browser, not all are featured in the pubs and ranked rotation each season. Respawn Entertainment changes the map rotation with each major adjustment to the scenery.

Starting in season 16, Apex’s live map rotation was thrust into the spotlight as Respawn made sweeping changes to the ranked playlist to accommodate the seasonal map rotation. Instead of one map for entire splits, three will rotate at a time—every 24 hours in ranked and roughly every hour in pubs.

Not sure if your favorite map is currently in rotation? We’ve got you covered. Here is the map rotation in Apex Legends season 21 for all game modes.

Season 21 features the return of Lockdown, which features twelve players divided into four teams, just like Gun Run. Squads earn points through eliminating enemy legends or capturing zones, which provide golden loot once a timer expires. Lockdown will now be part of the standard Mixtape map rotation going forwards.

Here is the current map rotation for Control, Gun Run, Lockdown, and Team Deathmatch in the Mixtape Playlist of Apex Legends:

Control

  • Broken Moon: Production Yard
  • Thunderdome

Team Deathmatch

  • King’s Canyon: Skulltown
  • Storm Point: Zeus Station

Gun Run

  • Broken Moon: The Core
  • Storm Point: Wattson’s Pylon

Lockdown

Alter, Broken Moon, and Lockdown are now live in Apex across all platforms.
