Kled, Kindred, Yuumi, and Nidalee prepare for pets and treats with new LoL April Fools skins

What side will you choose?

One of the most legendary battles in all of history is returning to League of Legends, pitting champions clod in dog-themed clothing against those who prefer a more feline look.

Following an initial teaser during the season overview video at the beginning of this year, Riot Games has fully revealed the contents of the returning dogs vs. cats skinline, celebrating this year’s April Fools Day. This time around, Kled, Kindred, Nidalee, and Yuumi are partaking in the battle, complete with furry outfits that, for this bunch in particular, simply acts as another fur coat.

Joining team cat are, fittingly, Yuumi and Nidalee, two of the few cat-themed champions currently available in League. Both wear cat-like pajamas with their abilities focusing heavily on fish, commonly associated with the appetites of cats. Nidalee’s transformation has her turn into a large pink cat instead of the usual cougar, then riding upon a broken-down Pretty Kitty Rengar ride in her recall.

Meanwhile, Kindred and Kled join team dog alongside their “pets,” who become large dogs that accompany them in battle. Lamb is given a pair of purple dog-themed pajamas to support Wolf, who has become a ghost dog of his own, while Kled prefers to simply wear a dog trainer-based outfit to ride atop the bigger slobbering mess that Skaarl has become.

These new April Fools Day skins are expected to release in League alongside Patch 13.7, which launches a few days after the holiday on April 5. They are expected to be available for testing on the game’s PBE server this week, where they may receive some changes before they release to live servers.
