How to get Building 21 keycards in DMZ

Have you checked your pocket?

Warzone 2’s DMZ mode takes fans on an adrenaline-filled, thrill ride that will make each and every player sweat as soon as they hear a footstep.

This Tarkov-like experience sends a group of players into an unforgiving battlefield where mistakes can send you back to the start of the whole looting process. Being sneaky is a viable and safe strategy, but bold and aggressive plays can also be the most rewarding tactic available. DMZ giveth and it taketh away, and players seem to love it.

If players want an even more daunting challenge, they can take on a special Exclusion Zone called Building 21, and for season two starting on Feb. 14, players have new missions that take them back to Building 21.

To get into Building 21, you will need the basic access card, but you can also bring one-time-use colored access cards to unlock specific loot rooms in the building.

Find out where to get the access key, red keycard, and blue keycard to the cryptic Building 21 in DMZ below.

How to get Building 21 access keys in DMZ

Players who have earned a Building 21 access key can select the Building 21 location when they go to queue up for a DMZ match. Without a Building 21 access key, the location itself is not active, and players will only be able to deploy into Al Mazrah.

Building 21 is described as “a highly classified facility rumored to be developing various types of weaponry” that’s been taken control of by Shadow Company. Expect heavy resistance and incredible weaponry inside.

There is no specific way to find each access key or keycard. Instead, for those of you who don’t know, these keys are found in a series of ways that typically stay true no matter what the building is.

Here’s how you can get the Building 21 access key, red keycard, and blue keycard:

  • Planes and drop boxes
  • Boss supply drops (kill the boss, locatable by a white skull you can see on the map)
  • SAM Site drops (complete the process of clearing SAM sites)
  • Legendary (orange) crates

It’s worth noting, though, finding one of these drops does not fully guarantee a Building 21 access key will be inside.

How to get the Building 21 green access card

The green access card only drops while in Building 21. Players can pick it up by defeating enemies or opening safes in secured zones. It can open one of several green doors in the building.

How to get the Building 21 black access card

The black access card can be picked up by defeating the main boss in Building 21. The main boss is Velikan, who spawns randomly somewhere on the map, is equipped with a grenade launcher and extra armor, and is often flanked by Wheelson drones.

The black room has three orange crates, a duffel bag, and other valuable loot.
