Last month we reported that Team SoloMid had picked up Super Smash Bros. Melee star Willian “Leffen” Hjelte. It seems that now Hjelte is getting the full Team SoloMid treatment.
The TSM YouTube channel threw up a video interviewing Hjelte and getting TSM fans acquainted with one of Melee’s top competitor’s.
Hjelte has had a storied history in the Smash community. He’s always been viewed as haughty and arrogant, being considered the anime-like villain at tournaments. It caught up to him when he was banned for a year from all Swedish tournaments in 2013. It didn’t slow him down, however, because in 2014 he ascended the ranks and took down each of the top five players at one tournament after another.
The top five, players so good that they would generally only lose to each other, had now become the top six. Some fans have endearingly dubbed it the sinister six.
Hjelte wants to become the best. Can support from Team SoloMid just be enough to take him to the top?
