Thanks to a partnership with Sony, Fortnite will support crossplay and cross progression between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and eventually Android. That means that players on PC can and will potentially play with or against players on PS4 or even an iPhone.

“We believe this is the future of games,” Epic Games said. “The same game on all platforms. Console quality graphics and action. Play when you want, where you want.”

Starting on Monday, players can sign up for the invite event on iOS, and support for Android will be coming “in the next few months.” The mobile version is described as having the “same gameplay, same map, same content, same weekly updates.”

Players can sign up to get invited to the iOS version starting on March 12 at Fortnite.com. Whoever is lucky enough to get selected will receive an invite via email, but Epic plans to add more players regularly over the coming months. Those who are invited will also receive friend code invites to share with others.
