S1mple reportedly set to join with SK trio in new team

One of the most dramatic roster changes in years is reportedly in motion.

Following a downturn in results for both SK Gaming and Na`Vi, the biggest stars on each roster will reportedly be competing for a new organization soon.

A total of three players from the Brazilian SK Gaming roster are set to join Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev on a new team, according to a report by ESPN Brazil. SK Gaming has long been considered one of the strongest rosters in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive history, and the organization is reportedly losing its Brazilian in-game leader Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, all-star rifler Marcelo “coldzera” David, and lurker Fernando “fer” Alvarenga. The players are believed to be leaving the organization after their contracts expire.

The trio is believed to have already come to some sort of agreement with Immortals, and are now deliberating on who the fifth players on the roster should be. This would be the first time any of the SK Gaming players have been involved in an international team.

“The odds of s1mple joining are almost 100 percent guaranteed,” the ESPN report claims. The report also mentions that Egor “flamie” Vasilyev may also be joining the roster, but it is currently uncertain due to the 21-year-old’s steep buyout with Na`Vi.

There have already been rumors about the SK roster leaving the organization throughout 2018. Immortals was quickly found to be the first probable organization the roster would join, particularly given its purchase of the rights to the MiBR (Made in Brazil) organization: the most prestigious Brazilian organization in CS history.

For Na`Vi, the loss of both s1mple and flamie would be disastrous. The legendary CIS-region organization has been struggling to achieve any noteworthy results in the past seven months. This is despite having brought back former captain Danil “zeus” Teslenko, who won the PGL Kraków Valve Major on Jul. 23 for Gambit Esports.
