Duong “Kinstaar” Huyh and Corentin “Hunter” Tardif of Solary opened the Fortnite Fall Skirmish series with an event win, claiming the $67,500 grand prize in the European portion of play.
Highly regarded as one of the best Fortnite players in the world since his E3 Pro-Am performance, Friday’s title was Kinstaar’s second win in the skirmishes, with the first coming in late August during the Summer Skirmish.

On the North American side of this tournament series, Jessi “VapeJesus” Rodriguez and Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro came out on top. The pair scored 12 points over six matches, besting competitors from Ghost Gaming, NRG Esports, and Team Liquid to capture the online tournament title.

Similar to the Summer Skirmish, this series features frequently-changing formats. This week’s system, Hold The Throne, was used in the summertime series and awarded players three points for Victory Royales and eight-kill games. Players could also earn points through top-five placings and games with at least four eliminations. There was also an added bonus of finishing with the most kills in the tournament, which would not only boost the team’s score by two points, but also net them an additional $50,000.
Kinstaar and Hunter claimed both the first-place prize and the Hold The Throne bonus on Friday. With an 11-kill game, the duo snagged more than $100,000 in a single day to become some of the highest-earning players in Fortnite’s short history.

And while they did win, VapeJesus and ZexRow weren’t the Hold The Throne bonus winners. Team Liquid’s Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan and Ryan “Chap” Chaplo got the $50,000 reward instead, doing so with 11 eliminations in one game.
The Bush Bandits lead the five Clubs, a new element introduced in the Fall Skirmish, after week one. With 690 points, they’re ahead of the Dusty Dogs by 150 points. The Lucky Llamas are in last place with 275 points.
