Roster change rumors involving Cloud9 and SK Gaming continue

There may be a North American CS:GO shuffle coming soon.

An exchange of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players may be happening soon, as negotiations between SK Gaming and Cloud9 are reportedly ongoing.

Jake “Stewie2k” Yip and Tyler “skadoodle” Latham seem to be the players that C9 is looking to swap out, according to multiple reports from DBLTAP. Former Team Liquid AWPer Josh “jdm” Marzano and former SK Gaming support Epitacio “TACO” de Melo are reportedly their potential replacements.

Last week, TACO stepped down from the active SK lineup, prompting rumors of different players joining the Brazilian lineup, such as Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev and Egor “flamie” Vasilyev. Those particular negotiations ultimately fell through, as Natus Vincere CEO Yevhen Zolotarov shut down any speculation of the change.

Now, the discussion is shifting towards C9, whose reported changes are surprising considering they won the ELEAGUE Major: Boston in January. TACO is apparently practicing with North American teams C9 and Team Liquid, reporters neLendirekt of Flickshot and Joe Cardali of Dust2.us said on Twitter.

Skadoodle has also been investing less time in CS:GO, with his teammates having at least double his playing time recently. This is evident in the C9 players’ Steam profiles, which displays their in-game time for the last two weeks.

“Soon the community will see the outcome and I can guarantee they will be [mind blown],” Stewie2k said to a fan who donated $1,000 to his Twitch stream. “Maybe two or three changes who knows.”
