Preben “prb” Gammelsæter has announced to return to play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The former D-Link PGS and Mousesports player will join the ranks of Norwegian side London Conspiracy.

Gammelsæter staked out his reputation while playing with the biggest names in Norwegian Counter-Strike. His successes in Counter-Strike 1.6 came alongside such players as Ola “Element” Moum and Geir-Stian “Juve9le” Svendsen.

His play in Global Offensive has been more spotty. Gammelsæter’s time in Mousesports was relatively brief, though he did see some success with Anexis following that. His last notable performances came with H2K Gaming, who share similar roots to the London Conspiracy team he now joins.

Gammelsæter will replace Markus “Maak” Karlsen, whose limited availability made him expendable as the team plans to ramp up its practice schedule.

It’s been some time since Norway was able to produce one of the world’s best Counter-Strike teams, with the days of such names as Eolithic and Catch Gamer long since passed.

London Conspiracy will soon have an opportunity to change that. The team will compete at G3 in London on Aug. 2, an event that will feature many of the world’s best teams including Ninjas in Pyjamas, Virtus Pro, and iBUYPOWER.

Prior to that, the Norwegian side will also be participating in the final qualifying event for ESL Cologne, which is set to be the biggest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament of the year.

The final qualifier will be played online and begins on July 26.
