Six new animals are now available for befriending: Whitney the wolf, Colton the horse, Muffy the sheep, Julia the ostrich, Pierce the eagle, and Tia the elephant. Each of these animals bring with them elegant-styled furniture. “Fill your campsite with luxurious furniture to give it an elegant flair,” Nintendo wrote in the notice.

Here are the special, unlockable items that have been added to Pocket Camp. These can be unlocked if you’ve acquired enough of each animal’s favorite pieces and lured them to your campsite.

  • Whitney—bell
  • Colton—plate armor
  • Muffy—doll house
  • Julia—illuminated tree
  • Pierce—pile of cash
  • Tia—birthday table

Yeah, Pierce the eagle unlocks a pile of cash.

Players can earn extra elegant essence by visiting the Shovelstrike Quarry. It’s available there until April 26. An elegant essence will appear by the mine on the map when it’s available for collecting. Elegant essence is also available by completing animal requests. You’ll need the essence to unlock all the new furniture, so stock up.

Pocket Camp’s Host the Most initiative is also ongoing, which should help you level up animals a bit quicker than usual.

Earlier this month, Nintendo also added a loot box–styled feature to the Animal Crossing mobile game. Players can purchase fortune cookies using Leaf Tickets (which cost real money) and Bells to unlock special furniture and clothing items.
