SK Gaming revealed its 2015 League Championship Series Spring Split roster today.
Stepping into the starting lineup are Greek marksman Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou and Swedish mid laner Hampus “Fox” Myhre, confirming a Daily Dot report from earlier this month.
Tzortziou sat out the last LCS split after being ousted from Copenhagen Wolves after the Spring Split, despite putting together a record-setting season—his 9.38 CSPM tops of any marksman in LCS history. That tally is just one example of the skill he brings to the table, something SK Gaming hopes will truly shine on a team much stronger than Wolves.
Myhre comes to SK Gaming from their challenger team, SK Gaming Prime, where he built a reputation as an up-and-coming talent. “Watdefox,” now shortened to “Fox,” led Prime to a second place finish in the challenger season and is now set to take the next step in his career.
The pair replace Jesse “Jesiz” Le and Adrian “CandyPanda” Wubbelman, two of the the team’s weaker performers on the world stage at the Riot World Championships last month.
The team is also revamping its coaching staff in anticipation of next season. Last year, Nicolaj “Incarnati0n” Jensen advised the team, but his status as a suspended player makes him ineligible to continue that role this year due to a new rule put in place by Riot Games. Wolfgang “Wolle” Landes and Danusch “Arvindir” Fischer will take over as analysts for the team. Joe “Innferflame” Elouassi moves to a Managing Coach positions. Lukas Schenke will continue to provide his services as sports psychologist.
