That includes Fnatic, who dropped all but two of their players before the World Cyber Arena 2015 qualifiers last weekend. And After bringing on some of the best players from former European rivals, Fnatic looked impressive in the event—even if they were edged out by G2 Esports in the final.

Pontus “Breeze” Sjogren and Thomas “Mene” Cailleux have remained on the team, with captain and founding member Joaquim “Lowell” Fitas among the casualties.

Three players are currently with the team on a trial basis, including the former Pirates in Pyjamas pair Dob “Quackniix” Engström and Filip “Smexystyle” Liljeström. The Pirates had indicated that, after failing to qualify for the Heroes World Championship, the team would disband, leaving the players to find new homes.

For many fans, the one to watch in the new lineup is former Liquid ace Cristofer “Blackscorp” Embareck. Once one of the most feared players in the world when his favored Illidan and Zeratul were dominant, Embareck instead opted for heroes like Tassadar and Anub’arak to show his versatility.

With G2, Fnatic, Roccat and Virtuspro competing in the qualifier, Fnatic’s new lineup managed to avoid the three other major teams in the top half of the bracket and swept through the the final without losing a game.

Though they missed out on the spot in the WCA finals, the second place and $3,000 prize money will go a long way to securing the futures of the three trialists.
