Overwatch Archives has come and gone, but the memory of the event lives on with the community’s stunning fan art.

The Overwatch Retribution brawl helped the event become the most popular event in Overwatch’s history, according to developer Blizzard Entertainment. That’s impressive for a video game that’s nearly two years old. But the event’s popularity won’t be a surprise to anyone who’s kept up with the Overwatch community, which often creates beautiful art to commemorate the game and its characters.

Overwatch Archives was no different. Artists came together to create a breadth of artwork that encapsulated the spirit of the Blackwatch-themed event. Here are some of our favorites.

But it wasn’t only about Overwatch Retribution. The Archives event brought back last year’s original lore-based event, Overwatch Uprising. That event took a team of four Overwatch members to King’s Row to stop an Omnic uprising. Art for that brawl was plentiful, too.

Leading up to the Overwatch Retribution brawl and Overwatch Archives event, Blizzard hired its own team of artists to create a Blackwatch-themed mural. The mural went up in Australia, and was consistently updated in the lead-up to the event.

“‘So much for keeping a low profile’,” Blizzard wrote on Twitter. “The agents of Blackwatch were mobilized to the streets of Melbourne, thanks to these talented artists.”

The Overwatch Archives event and its Retribution brawl ended on April 30, but a piece of the event lives on beyond the fan art. Blizzard added a new map, Rialto, to Overwatch yesterday—a map that was originally used in the four-player co-op brawl.
