China’s top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad appears to have fallen apart as three players, YuLun “fancy1” Cai, YuanZhang “AttackeR” Sheng and HaoWen “somebody” Xu, have left the roster.
TyLoo also appear to have outright fired its former coach, Qifang “Karsa” Su.
According to TyLoo, the three players and coach were removed because they were seeking to create a new roster while under contract, a move that TyLoo claims is tantamount to poaching.
As a result, it asked fancy1, AttackeR, and Karsa to leave immediately, and the players have now also been banned from competing in any major tournaments in China.
In a statement to HLTV.org, however, the players say they never officially signed a contract with TyLoo, and that the organization had failed to live up its own obligations.
“The organization promised that the players would have the same basic salary for every single player but they failed their promise. Mo, DD, and fancy1 were later offered more salary but were told to not tell this to other teammates. Mo and DD accepted, fancy1 refused.”
TyLoo became the first Chinese team in CS:GO to reach international recognition in 2016, following an impressive victory over MLG Major champions SK Gaming at the DreamHack Masters Malmö group stage. The Chinese roster has since competed at several international LAN events to mixed success.
