Looking for a PC that costs as much as a down payment on a house? Look no further: U.K.–based PC retailer Overclockers UK is now selling a $30,000 gaming PC called the OrionX.
And as you might expect, it’s, uh, really powerful. Custom PC builder Ian “8Pack” Parry put this marvel together with the goal of creating a “truly jaw dropping system” that leads the world in aesthetics and performance. Because one system wasn’t enough, Parry added two. The primary system runs on an Intel Core i7-6950X processor plugged into an Asus X99 Rampage V Extreme Edition 10 motherboard. Oh, and three Nvidia Titan X Pascal graphics cards. Storage is strewn over multiple sources—a 1.2TB Intel SSD, two 1TB Samsung 850 Pro SDDs, and a 10TB Seagate Barracuda hard drive. Somewhere in there he’s found room for 64GB of RAM with Corsair Dominator Platinum.
An Intel Core i7-7700K processor powers the secondary system in the Asus ROG Strix Z270 I motherboard with a Nvidia Titan X Pascal graphics card. Another Corsair Dominator Platinum brings 16GB of memory with storage spread across two Samsung 960 Polaris NVME SSDs with 512GB each and 10TB of Seagate Barracuda hard drive space.
If you’re keeping count, that’s 24TB of storage in total.
Watercooling in the OrionX is unparalleled. It’s fully customized with three separate watercooling loops. It all fits inside the Phanteks Enthoo Elite “8PACK Edition” chasis. Simply put, this PC is a beast. And you can actually buy it now.
So if you’re willing to empty your bank account—and then maybe more—on a PC that’ll let you play games while rendering video, this is for you.
