DreamHack Malmö: Day 3 Recap

We take a look at Day 3 of the DreamHack Masters currently taking place in Malmo. Our recap features all the scores from today's match ups and a little look ahead to the weekend where the top prize is a cool $100,000 and the DreamHack Masters trophy.

Day three of DreamHack Masters saw the completion of the group stages as the remaining four teams qualified for the quarter-finals. Yesterday, one team from each group booked their place in the quarter-finals after winning their two matches. Today’s matches were decided using a best-of-three format.

Group A

Tyloo vs Luminosity

  • Map 1: Cache
  • Score: 16 -14 Tyloo Win
  • Map 2: Overpass
  • Score: 7 -16 Luminosity Win
  • Map 3: Inferno
  • Score: 16 -12 Tyloo Win

Tyloo win the series 2-1 and advance to the quarter-final.

Group B

GODSENT.gg vs Counter Logic Gaming

  • Map 1: Overpass
  • Score: 19 -16 GODSENT.gg Win
  • Map 2: Cache
  • Score: 16 -8 GODSENT.gg Win

GODSENT.gg win the series 2-0 and advance to the quarter-final.

Group C

Ninjas in Pajamas vs Astralis

  • Map 1: Cache
  • Score: 16 -5 Ninjas in Pajamas Win
  • Map 2: Inferno
  • Score: 9 -16 Astralis Win
  • Map 3: Train
  • Score: 16 -12 Ninjas in Pajamas Win

Ninjas in Pajamas win the series 2-1 and advance to the quarter-final.

Group D

Team EnVyUs vs   Tempo Storm

  • Map 1: Dust 2
  • Score: 16 – 9 Team EnVyUs Win
  • Map 2: Inferno
  • Score: 16 -14 Team EnVyUs Win

Team EnVyUs win the series 2-0 and advance to the quarter-final.


After today we now know the eight teams who will contest the playoffs this weekend. The two teams that qualified from each group are:

Group A

Group B

  • Na’ Vi
  • GODSENT.gg

Group C

  • dignitas
  • Ninjas in Pajamas

Group D

  • Virtus.pro
  • Team EnVyUs

Sadly, there will be no action tomorrow (Friday) as the event takes a break. The quarter-finals will kick off Saturday as these eight teams battle it out for a chance to win $100,000 and the DreamHack Masters trophy.
