EU Masters will return for a second season on Sept. 10, where the best teams from France, Germany, Italy, and more will compete for the title of “best semi-pro EU League team,” up to €150,000 in prizes, and, most importantly, bragging rights.

So far, there are seven regional leagues from which this second season of EU Masters will be pulling contenders. Those regional leagues are France’s Open Tour, Germany’s Premier Tour, Italy’s PG Nationals Predator series, the Nordic Championship, and the Baltic, Greek, and Benelux Regional Leagues.

At EU Masters’ first season in April, Origen won the title. Origen were previously very successful in the EU LCS, only to crash and burn, being relegated from the league entirely in 2017. The revival roster for EU Masters included entirely big-name players from around the world, such as Choi “inSec” In-seok, Henrik “Froggen” Hansen, Konstantinos “FORG1VEN” Tzortziou, and Ki “Expect” Dae-han.

The first stage will consist of a round robin between 16 teams, and among those, eight will advance to the playoffs.

Whichever team makes it to the finals will compete in Katowice, Poland from Sept. 29 to 30. That’s only one day before Worlds begins this year.
