The Reigning World Champion top laner, Lee “Duke” Hoseong, has joined Chinese LPL team, Invictus Gaming. Duke will be the second member of the 2016 SK Telecom T1 roster to mover over to China, the first being Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong, who joined Vici Gaming earlier this week.
Duke joined SK Telecom T1 at the start of the 2016 competitive season. Alongside SK Telecom T1, Duke won the IEM World Championship, 2016 Mid-Season Invitational and the 2016 League of Legends World Championship. Despite being outshined by other laners in his roll like Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho of ROX Tigers (now on KT Rolster), Duke was arguably among the top three players in the top lane in this LCK this past year.
Duke will be joining former KT Rolster Arrows’ mid laner, Song “RooKie” Eui-jin on Invictus Gaming.
