The Walking Dead’s Negan is joining Tekken 7 in a new season pass

Anna and Lei also make the cut.

Bandai Namco shocked the Tekken 7 community after the grand finals of Evo 2018 earlier today by confirming a brand-new season pass with six DLC characters that will be coming to the game.

Alongside the initial fighters shown off, Bandai teased the guest character that’s joining the roster—and it was someone that nobody was expecting.

Bandai is teaming up with AMC to bring Negan, a popular villain from the TV show The Walking Dead, to the game as a playable fighter.

Negan isn’t the only character joining the new season pass, however. Anna, the youngest sister of Nina Williams, was the first character to be revealed. She has been in every single Tekken game (except Tekken 4) and has been sorely missed from the roster until now.

Lei Wulong, another popular character from the Tekken series, was also shown off in the full trailer. Lei’s laid-back personality and unique fighting style were on full display during the trailer as fans got a glimpse into what he’s capable of.

The three fighters seen in the trailer will join another three “fan-favorite” characters in the game’s second season pass. Details on the pass, as well as release dates for all of the fighters, remain a mystery for now, though.

In the meantime, fans of The Walking Dead will be patiently waiting to see Negan added to Tekken 7—and they’ll all likely hope to see this villain bring his well-known baseball bat Lucille into battle.
