How to complete the POTM Haaland SBC in EA FC 25

The most expensive SBC in EA FC 25.

The big prize in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team at launch is the 92 OVR card for Erling Haaland. Completing his POTM SBC requires a lot of effort and coins, but we’ll try to keep them to a minimum with our cheapest solutions.

There are two separate SBCs you need to do for the POTM Haaland card—POTM Haaland One and POTM Haaland Two. Each SBC requires four teams and each submitted team has its respective pack reward.

Neither of these SBCs will get you the Haaland card on its own. You must do both POTM Haaland SBCs in EA FC 25 to get the card by completing the POTM: Haaland Objective. The Squad Building Challenges’ rewards are a single Rare Mega Pack per challenge completed.

The most important thing about solving this SBC is not to obsess over it and only do it if you accumulate a ton of coins naturally. The average player ratings will only rise in the next couple of weeks and prices will drop. The POTM Haaland SBC expires on Oct. 20—completing it will only become easier as time goes on and you can afford to wait. Believe us, this card will be relevant for a long time.

The first Haaland SBC is much easier to complete because none of the teams submitted need to exceed 86 OVR. For comparison, the second’s cheapest squad is 86 OVR and that only increases with subsequent squads.

Cheapest solution for POTM Haaland SBC in EA FC 25 Ultimate Team

There’s no actually cheap way to do these SBCs, but you can limit the damage by investing smartly. As usual, being lucky enough to have a few high-rated players already at your disposal will solve a lot of issues, but we’re going off the presumption that you don’t.

You can get away with not buying a single player above 86 OVR for Haaland SBC One, and that’s what you should be doing for three out of four squads. You only need a Premier League player for one of these and can go with anyone for the other 32 slots.

The one exception is the Manchester City squad, which requires one In-Form card. In-Forms are much more expensive due to their rarity, and high OVR In-Forms are almost out of reach for a lot of players right now.

You’d be better off getting one of the weaker TOTW Two players on the market and compensate with a stronger Gold card or two. The squad rating here is 84, so snagging one of several 80-rated TOTW Two cards will mean you only need a couple 86 OVR players to balance it out.

The same logic applies for POTM Haaland SBC Two, just at a much inflated rate. You will need a TOTW player not for one, but two of the squads, one where you need an 86 and one where you need an 87 average rating. We recommend gunning for goalkeeper Fernando Muslera’s 84-rated TOTW Two card. It is the best bang for your buck and is good enough to not push you into needing a 90 OVR card.

You also have one 87-rated and one 88-rated squad to complete with no other requirements. Outside of a surprise bargain, the cheapest way to do these is to tiptoe your way around the respective rating, not going too high or too low. Basically, all players should be rated 84 to 88 for the 87-rated squad, and between 85 and 89 for the 88-rated one.

The price of these SBCs will drop as time goes by, but at the time of writing, POTM Haaland SBC One will cost you around 150,000 coins to build from scratch, and POTM Haaland SBC Two costs in the region of 350,000 coins. Those are rough figures to look at. You can improve your mood with the much cheaper, but still relatively demanding League and Nation Hybrid SBC.
