It's time to rain on his parade.

Marvel Snap’s latest OTA update is here, bringing changes for seven cards ahead of the weekend.

Most of the changes are buffs, which is nice, save for one nerf to a card that really needed it as of late. Read on below for the notes to see everything that is changing, coming to an update tomorrow, Sept. 12.

The biggest and best change in the Marvel Snap patch, which goes live tomorrow, is to Sandman. One of the most annoying cards in the game, Sandman used to only allow players to play one card on the following turn. Now, he gets a power buff of one but will make cards cost one more instead.

“We’ve relied on Sandman to be a negative pressure against strong decks that can threaten several cards at the end of the game,” Second Dinner said. “However, we’ve seen over time that when the metagame provides Sandman with that kind of an opening, those decks tend to become a frustration unto themselves. In some ways it’s reminiscent of Leech, and we’re pursuing a similar adjustment. Softening the penalty on Sandman will make it less effective at locking down the game, while still meaningfully impacting enemy plans to play tons of cards.”

Agatha Harkness, of Agatha All Along fame, got a bit of a rework in the patch. Instead of playing all cards for you, she’ll only play cards on even turns, in an effort to shake things up and make her a bit more fun to play.

“We’re as excited as everyone else to see Kathryn Hahn back for Agatha All Along, so we decided to celebrate by letting our own Agatha out to play a little bit,” Second Dinner said. “You’ll find Agatha more interested in an equal partnership these days, sharing turns with the player rather than keeping them all to herself. We haven’t adjusted any other functionality–you’ll still see her showing up in your hand as a bonus card, too.”

War Machine got the final big change in the patch, going from an On Reveal card to an Ongoing one, now allowing you to play cards at any location while his ability is active. The other changes in the patch are all buffs of one power for Aero, Black Cat, Ghost Rider, and Moon Girl, and a one-power nerf to Mockingbird.
