Be Potter pals together.

Playing Quidditch Champions with friends is possible thanks to the multiplayer co-op functionality in the Harry Potter sports game, and learning how to do this is as smooth as butterbeer.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions is the long-awaited simulation of the popular fictional sport portrayed in the books and films. For years, we’ve seen Harry Potter battle rival houses for the Golden Snitch and be bludgeoned… by Bludgers.

Now, you get to do this yourself, but you don’t have to do it alone, thanks to co-op multiplayer.

To play co-op multiplayer in Harry Potter Quidditch Champions, you need to request a friend to join you using the “Invite” function found on the game’s main menu screen.

Here’s a quick step-by-step on what to do to play co-op multiplayer:

  1. Load up and start Quidditch Champions.
  2. Complete the tutorial instructions until you reach and win the Quaffle match.
  3. Go back to the main menu.
  4. Click your platform’s “Invite” button.
  5. Search your friends list for someone who has the game installed and has completed the same tutorials.
  6. Press “Invite to party” and wait for them to accept.
  7. Once they’re in your party, search for an online match!

All of this isn’t too obvious at first, as Quidditch Champions insists on throwing one tutorial after another at you (understandably) before recommending you join a game. As I’ve said, you can cancel out to the menu after completing the 3v3 Quaffle match, though, if you’re a thrillseeker looking to learn on the fly (pun intended).

After all, playing a Seeker or a Beater is tough to master, so consider which position to play carefully to produce the best team effort.
