Black Myth: Wukong has secrets scattered throughout its Chinese-inspired lands. From requiring the “Keeness of Tiger” to a bunch of hidden Bells, there’s always more to do in Wukong than meets the eye.

One of the action title’s most obvious distractions comes during chapter two when you reach the sand waterfall for the first time. So ,let’s get past it together.

To get past the sand wall in Black Myth: Wukong, you need the Loong Scales special item to allow safe passage through the sand wall in chapter two.

The Loong Scales are a highly missable item letting you pass through the sand fall in chapter two, and you can also use it to open up and access the traditional Waterfall in chapter one’s main area.

You need to reach the “First Prince of Flowing Sands” boss, which is unlocked by first completing the “Second Rat Prince & King of Flowing Sands,” and in the boss arena for the First Prince is a breakable wall.

Let the First Prince destroy the pre-determined section of the wall, or do it yourself using the Wandering Wight Transformation. Whichever option you choose, a chest awaits on the other side, and it contains the Loong Scales.

You can use them to gain safe passage through the sand fall—leading to an optional showdown with the secret, optional Black Loong boss.

Now that you know how to traverse the awe-inspiring sand fall, make sure you know who you play as in Black Myth: Wukong and how to beat the Yellow Wind Sage.
