What are the Bog Crawler and Goopy Goblin in Lethal Company?

Have we heard of these before?

A new mystery surrounding the unfamiliar Lethal Company entities has arisen with the Bog Crawler and Goopy Goblin. They’re standout names, to say the least, so you’d think The Company employees would recognize these monsters—but why can’t we find their names in the Bestiary?

Here’s everything you should know about Zeekerss’ puzzling patch note changes for Lethal Company‘s v60 update.

We are certain that neither the Bog Crawler nor the Goopy Goblin are in Lethal Company. Added into v60’s Stuffy Update patch notes, it is said that these two entities were removed from the game. However, neither entity was ever a part of Lethal Company.

This isn’t the only weird thing in Zeekerss’ patch notes for v60: The Kidnapper Fox is said to have been removed for v60 also, but I have since been lassoed by this creature, who still hides inside the Vain Shrouds on Vow. Whether this is a mistake or intended to confuse and jump-scare us is unknown, but more will be revealed in the lead-up to version 65.

We are all well-versed in the Lethal Company Bestiary and our endeavors in the Facility time and time again have shown us exactly who we will be facing off against and what we can do to keep ourselves out of harm’s way. Scanning the entities tells us their name, alongside a summary of the creature on the Terminal’s Bestiary, but what of the Bog Crawler and Goopy Goblins?

Multiple entities have been given different names. For example, the Barber is also known as the Clay Surgeon and the Thumpers have been called Crawlers. But, neither Bog Crawler nor Goopy Goblin align with any existing entities.

What seems to be the most logical solution, stated by multiple Company employees, is that these entities may be a community-made entity (similar to Minecraft‘s Herobrine). Others wonder if these entities are a teaser for what’s to come—perhaps a new Moon with a swampy terrain?

Herobrine was a character in Minecraft that never actually appeared in the game. Instead, Minecraft‘s Herobrine originated in the community as a creepypasta. Perhaps Zeekerss is creating a Lethal Company creepypasta or something similar to the mystifying Lasso Man.

Surely more information on these two entities will be given before v65, and perhaps this patch note mystery will remain a mystery for many updates to come—or maybe it’s just a red herring. Only time will tell!
