How to farm Solstice armor alloy in Destiny 2

How badly do you want to wear the Solstice 2024 armor in Destiny 2?

Unlocking your Solstice armor is a huge part of the yearly Solstice celebration in Destiny 2. The unique armor set gives your Guardian a distinct appearance and several bonuses while you wear it and participate in the festivities. For Solstice 2024, you’ll be crafting it yourself with armor alloys.

There’s the Helmet Alloy, Gauntlet Alloy, Chest Alloy, Leg Alloy, and Class Item Alloy. You’ll use these resources at the Solstice Forge, where you’ll craft the armor and place it on your Guardian after completing it. Gathering up these armor alloys takes a good amount of time in Destiny 2, but there are some things you can focus on to make your life easier. Here are some of the best ways to farm the Solstice armor alloys in Destiny 2.

While the armor alloys for each category of the Solstice armor are your main priority, Silver Leaves also play a huge part. You’ll need them to purchase the bounties from the Solstice Forge, which grants you the armor alloy resources.

You can use the Silver Leaves to purchase the bounties or, after you work through the main Solstice 2024 quest for Eva in Destiny 2, unlock the ability to refresh them for new bounties. During the Solstice 2023 event, the best way to farm Silver Leaves was by completing the Altars of Sorrow on the Moon, which continues to be the case. Now, it’s also a great way to grind out armor alloys to begin crafting your Solstice armor.

Alternatively, you can jump into any Strike to defeat waves of enemies with other Guardians or play through the Bonfire Bash activity. In my experience, the Altars of Sorrow continue to be one of the better ways to quickly grind out the Solstice Forge activities for armor alloys and Silver Leaves.

You can knock these out simultaneously, especially if you focus on the smaller bounties, where you defeat enemies with the final blow of a particular element, or the ones where you generate Orbs of Power. Pay attention to the type of subclass you should use during the Orbs of Power quests to knock these out quickly in Destiny 2. You can also explore any of the larger locations throughout the solar system and focus on public events.

From here, it’s merely rinse and repeat to make your way through these quests and gather up enough resources to unlock ingots for crafting in the Solstice Forge. It’s a hefty grind, even by Destiny 2 standards. Despite this, the armor is incredible for the Solstice 2024 event, and running through waves of Hive at the Altars of Sorrow is a good way to get it done quickly.
