How the Solstice Forge works in Destiny 2

Light the bonfires, and celebrate the Solstice 2024 event.

The Solstice Forge is the latest new item given to you in Destiny 2 during the game’s summer event, Solstice 2024. You’ll receive this item shortly after speaking with Eva Levante in the tower, which you’ll use throughout the event to craft your armor.

It’s a different approach from the previous Solstice events in Destiny 2. Rather than looting armor, you’ll be crafting it with the Solstice Forge. You’ll need to hunt down several new items, especially for anyone who wants to craft every piece of this armor, to ensure they get the most benefits while playing. There are a handful of things you’ll want to know about it. Here’s everything you need to know about the Solstice Forge and how it works in Destiny 2.

The Solstice Forge is your key to crafting your Solstice armor in Destiny 2 during the 2024 event. You can get it as you work your way through the event quest for Eva. You get it through the Celebrating Solstice quest.

When you acquire the Solstice Forge, it’s going to appear in the Quest tab of your director. Highlight and click on it to open it up, which should bring you a menu displaying the armor slots you can work on and begin building in Destiny 2. Each category has bounties attached to them, which you can begin working on by purchasing them with Silver Leaves. You can only hold one bounty at a time from each category, though, so you won’t be able to knock them out for one piece. You’ll need to gradually work through them for each armor section.

Completing the bounties from the Solstice Forge rewards you with alloy for that particular armor section. If you have a helmet quest, expect to receive helmet alloy at the end, and you can add it to your total. You can return to the Solstice Forge in the Quest tab of your director to view how many of each alloy you have, and how close you are to crafting another piece of Solstice Armor.

The main activity for Destiny 2’s Solstice 2024 event is the Bonfire Bash, a returning quest that takes you to the EAZ on Earth. Here, you’ll be working alongside other Guardians to light the bonfires, taking down waves of enemies, and defeating multiple mini-bosses, leading up to one big fight at the end—with a pile of loot, of course.
