Hundreds of players flooded the post’s comments section, sharing the games they played and found engaging during lockdowns. One of the many titles commonly believed to be incredibly fun during this period was Activision’s Call of Duty: Warzone. The game saw a massive surge of players at the time thanks to its highly engaging multiplayer experience.

Another multiplayer title many players were enthralled with while stuck indoors was PUBG. The battle royale gave players the chance to cooperate and have fun together, with many enjoying it on multiple platforms across the globe. Many players found solace in the game’s several “fun game modes” as it helped them make it through the pandemic.

An unsurprising entry and one of the most frequently mentioned games in the thread was Minecraft. Several players highlighted the massive number of hours they put into the game and the many features and activities they enjoyed. Be it modded Minecraft with a partner or “collecting every item” in the game, the game successfully distracted many them from their other worries.

However, the most celebrated game, mentioned an overwhelming number of times, was Animal Crossing, specifically the latest title in the franchise, New Horizons. Several players reminisced about escaping to their islands and all the joy it brought them.

“Animal Crossing in particular was incredible and so well timed for me and my friends,” said one user. “Not being able to go out and socialise, it was a great game to get lost in daily,” said another.

These are just a few games highlighted in the thread. Some enjoyed competitive cooperation with friends, while others indulged in relaxing gaming sessions alone or with a partner. Either way, the thread has proved that gaming is an excellent pastime for many, even in the most challenging times.
