1907 Fenerbahçe may have just bowed out of the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational, but it’s already preparing for next split. The team has added another experienced face to their roster by acquiring former SK Telecom T1 top laner Park “Untara” Ui-jin.
The team confirmed the news earlier this morning. It comes two days after its former top laner, Kim “Ruin” Hyeong-min, left to reportedly join CLG.

Meanwhile, Untara will be joining the roster after spending a year out of the competitive League of Legends scene. He and a plethora of players on SK T1 were replaced as a new superteam emerged from the ashes of SKT’s failed 2018 season.
The last time Untara played, it was during one of the worst periods in the history of SKT. In his time with the team, he failed to reach the LCK Finals in both the 2018 Spring and Summer Splits, and SKT didn’t reach the World Championship for the first time in its illustrious history.
This will also be the first time that Untara will be the main top laner for a team since his days on CJ Entus and Star Horn Royal Club. Hopefully, his time playing alongside players like Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and Han “Peanut” Wang-ho has given him enough experience to help 1907 Fenerbahçe capture another TCL championship.
