Devs speak out after Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Inside Out 2 event derailed by glitch

Players are missing out on limited-time rewards.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Inside Out 2 Memory Mania event is causing massive problems for players, with memories like the Birthday Cake and Hockey Gear incorrectly spawning in inaccessible places. This nasty bug is making it impossible to complete the event, leaving many excluded from limited-time emotion-themed critters.

In this derailed Disney Dreamlight Valley event, players are tasked with find memory items to unlock memory shards. When all the shards have been found, they unlock a corresponding image and Inside Out 2 emotion-themed critter—all of which has been impossible for any player who’s fallen prey to this strange spawning bug.

Gameloft was apparently notified about this issue on the Known Quest forums as far back as June 30, however, it’s already been 10 days since it flagged something was in the works. Players continue to report the issue appearing.

Although the devs have said they’re working on it again today, players are skeptical about whether Gameloft will actually have a fix in time. Many took to Reddit to share their bubbling frustrations, with some declaring they “doubt they’ll fix it before the event is over.” Many agreed with this sentiment because, from their experience, “they never do.”

This event was added as part of the Lucky Dragon update, which saw Mulan and Mushu arrive in the Valley on June 26. These emotion-themed critters are only available in this event. This means if this glitch isn’t fixed soon, many players will miss out on one-of-a-kind event items.

With the end of the event drawing closer, there’s a very high chance those experiencing these Dreamlight Valley bugs won’t be able to complete the tasks and earn the adorable emotion critters before the event wraps up on July 17.

If anything actually changes on Gameloft’s front, we’ll let you know.
