Although its only been a couple of days since the release of the Overwatch Workshop in the game’s Public Test Realm (PTR), players have already created some incredible modifications that we now wish were actual features. From flying servers to Widowmaker teleport maps, the Overwatch community has really ramped up its creativity.

One new game mode that a player created brought a very simple change to Overwatch—and yet, it completely changes the experience of the player. Someone has created a third-person perspective version of the game on the Workshop, and it’s been a pretty big hit so far.

This mode is great for players who like to use a variety of skins—it makes skins a lot more valuable to a player because with a third-person view of the game, you can now see your entire character model instead of just the hero’s weapon.

There are a few pitfalls to the mode, though—for example, characters like Genji will have a bit of trouble aiming where he dashes to, which makes first-person mode the optimal choice for the hero. Additionally, there are some problems with aiming, and how the crosshairs might not represent where you’ll actually be shooting.

One solution that was suggested was to have a keybind where you could switch from first-person to third-person mode. No matter what, this is an interesting take on Overwatch, and it should provide creators with some good content to base their following Workshop creations on.
