Popular Fortnite player Ali “Myth” Kabbani jokingly raged in a Tyler “Tyler1” Steinkamp-esque manner on stream.
The streamer pulled up a notepad, wrote a list of criticisms of the new Fortnite patch, and yelled into his microphone. “I don’t even think that was okay to put in the game,” Myth said while flailing his arms. “I’m so sick of this fucking company,” he screamed, as he drove his fist down on his desk. “You’re trash,” he said, before storming out of the room.
It was an eerily-familiar scene for fans of League of Legends streamer Tyler1. Myth mimicked Tyler1’s tone of voice perfectly, his facial expressions were amusingly accurate, and even his subtle voice cracks, intended or not, were spot on.
It was clear that Myth didn’t intend to antagonize Tyler1—it was just a funny skit if anything at all. The two streamers remain on friendly terms.
The mock rage comes after updates to Fortnite. Myth, as well as much of the professional Fortnite community, are frustrated with new additions to the game.
The biggest factor concerns The Baller, a vehicle that’s seemingly causing an imbalance in the game. It was intended to be nerfed in patch v8.30, but it remains in its current state. The nerf has been delayed and it’s not been scheduled to change any time soon. This means it will be available to use in the upcoming Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers, a tournament with a $30 million prize pool.
The World Cup Qualifiers kick off on April 13.
