Team Heretics may have not been on top of their game at CWL Fort Worth, but the Spanish squad has been playing much better since returning to CWL Pro League matches.

Unfortunately for them, they had to go up against CWL Fort Worth champions Luminosity in the final match of the week in a cross-divsional encounter. Heretics started the series off strong, winning the first Hardpoint by 146 points.

As championship-winning teams usually do, Luminosity stayed poised and fired back with a map win of their own on Gridlock Search and Destroy. Gridlock Control was up next, and Heretics wasted little time in securing their second map of the series, winning the game in three straight rounds.

Luminosity again did well after losing a map, pushing the series to a fifth game with a 146-point win on Frequency Hardpoint. Hacienda Search and Destroy was the deciding map, and it was a map mostly controlled by Heretics. Although Luminosity won a few rounds near the end of the game, Heretics were able to close out the series for their eighth win of the season.

The team Heretics is tied with in first place, eUnited, also won their eighth match today by defeating Red Reserve in five games. The other two matches, Team Envy vs. UYU and Excelerate vs. Evil Geniuses, both ended in 3-0 sweeps in the favor of Envy and Excelerate.
