The bounce will come back.

Blizzard accidentally took the bounce out of Overwatch’s spawn-room basketballs, but don’t panic, it’s going to fix them.

Players found after the latest Overwatch patch that the basketballs stashed in the Overwatch spawn rooms didn’t have the same bounce they once had. Hit or shoot the basketballs and they just sort of rolled off the table, making sweet trick shots impossible.

Basketballs are set up in certain Overwatch spawn rooms for players to play around with before matches. Landing a swisher in the spawn room hoop sets off an air horn and confetti. It’s a pretty special moment. That’s why folks are upset that the spawn rooms basketballs are seemingly deflated. And apparently, the basketball deflategate was an accident.

Blizzard has already fixed the basketballs on the Overwatch PTR, according to game director Jeff Kaplan. “The basketball[s] should be back to normal when the Junkertown patch goes live.” Blizzard has not specified when the Junkertown patch will hit the Overwatch live server, but it should be within the next few weeks.

Thanks, Blizzard. We know you’ve always got our backs.
