The new roster includes Bruno “aXt” Habitzreuter, Joseph “Tecnosh” Touma, Tiago “SkipNhO” Lannes, and Mateus “yeTz” Duarte. All four players have history in other battle royale games, like H1Z1.

LG’s first roster did extremely well at the gamescom PUBG Invitational in August, as their four-man team won the third-person Squads tournament, and half of the team in Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Hogne “chipzy” Krogsæther finished in the top four of the Duos event.

“I am extremely proud to widen our footprint in both the PUBG & Brazilian community,” said LG founder Steve Maida. “The Brazilian fans have given our organization so much over the years and their support is unyielding. We have put together an exciting group of talented and experienced competitors. To date we’ve amassed over $140,000 in prize money from battle royale tournaments. It’s early days and the future is bright. We’re all in and I can’t wait to see our new squad in action.”

Considering PUBG’s growing success, it shouldn’t be surprising to see more teams picking up multiple squads in the future, as the game is still scheduled for a full release before the end of 2017.

As for PUBG esports, there are no major events scheduled down the line just yet, but you can bet there will be more.
